We’re introducing Zoom translated captions

We are experimentally introducing Zoom tranlated captions in this spring meeting.

Participants themselves can switch on and off the captions, and change the translated language.

Notes：The following or later versions of Zoom will be required to show translated captions.

  • Windows: 5.10.6 or later
  • macOS: 5.10.6 or later
１.　Click “Show Captions” on the Zoom tool bar.
２．Tick “Enable Translation” .

３．Select “My Speaking Language” and “My Translation Language”

    • My Speaking Language
      Select the language that the presenter is speaking in.
    • My Translation Language
      Select the language that you wish to view captions in.

You can change the translated language, show original and translated captions at the same time, or change other settings during the meeting.

１．Click the arrow next to “Show Captions” .
  • Translation to
    Select the language that you wish to view captions in.
  • Your caption settings

    • Speaking language：select the language that the presenter is speaking in.
    • Show original and translated：Show the captions of the languages that the presenter is speaking in and the tralslated captions.
    • View Full Transcript：A window will appear with the full transcript both in the original language and the translated.
    • Caption settings：Set the size of captions etc.
